SunBridge Care & Rehabilitation for East Boston is a 109-bed facility that provides comprehensive neurobehavioral rehabilitation services for adults with severe behavioral disorders secondary to acquired brain injury, psychiatric illness or other neurological impairments. Because of our professional staff and high standards of care, we have earned accreditation from the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). Our goal is to minimize the impact of functional deficits while fostering independence. We focus on returning residents to their own communities in the least restrictive environment as soon as possible. Individuals who benefit from our program have mild to severe behavioral disorders resulting from: stroke; acquired, mild or traumatic brain injury; dementia; exposure to toxins; Huntington's disease; seizures; anoxia and other neurological or psychiatric disorders. Residents enjoy various opportunities for recreation and socializing, including transportation to community outings. Religious services are available for members of all faiths. We also offer nutrition services, fine dining and an on-site beauty and barbershop. We accept Medicare, Medicaid, VA, most managed care plans and private insurance.
