147 Elder Street is a private residential care home for 32 persons with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease which features:
1. A loving safe, secure, elegant, home-like surrogate family environment with private bedrooms and bathrooms in a gracious family setting in a residential neighborhood
2. A 1:3 staff to resident ratio with individualized primary caregivers
3. Professional, regulated Nursing staff on site 24/7 with daily assessments by a Registered Nurse
4. Specially trained staff & daily mentoring in Dementia Care and the medical complexities of aging e.g. Parkinsons, Wound care, Diabetes
5. Therapeutic programs tailored to different types of dementia dedicated to preserving abilities and compensating for losses
6. Group and 1:1 programs 7days a week from 10am to 8pm including Art Therapy, Music Therapy, Pet Therapy.
