About Haciendas at Grace Village - Las Cruces, NM
ABOUT US
Unique design differences place The Haciendas at Grace Village among the most outstanding Alzheimer’s and dementia care facilities in our region.
Truly not a “facility”, but instead, a residence, the Haciendas at Grace Village is comprised of residential-style homes that provide assisted living and specialized, skilled care, intentionally designed to encourage community and familial interactions and to exclude institutional elements. The thoughtful design and support of each home encourages community activity and participation in an environment that promotes an individual resident’s opportunity to thrive while maintaining dignity and promoting continued independence. In accord with this, all residents have their own private bedroom and bathroom in the house. Confusing corridors and hallways are completely absent from the Haciendas. A home-style kitchen, large dining room, and the open activity/living room are accessible to all residents of the home. Residents also have access to secure and safe outdoor spaces including porches, wandering paths, and specially designed therapy gardens.
Comprehensively trained staff, holistic programs, thoughtful menus, innovative designs, and individualized activities are all aimed to give each person a dignified, full life that they deserve.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Deinstitutionalization is a change in the focus of mental health care from an institutional to a community setting. This philosophy is the heart of The Haciendas at Grace Village: a customized, person-centered care experience tailored to each individual resident.
All human beings are worthy of respect, no matter their disability, and our resident centered care is based on the conviction that people with Alzheimer’s and dementia can live fulfilling lives.
We believe that those with Alzheimer’s and dementia are valuable individuals whose dignity, independence, health, and physical and psychosocial needs are vital – and our residents will be treated accordingly. These elements must be constantly and consistently evaluated, implemented, and maintained through each stage of Alzheimer’s and dementia to maximize care, comfort, and dignity.
