Dunwoody Village is a continuing care retirement community located on 83 acres in Newton Square, PA. Founded in 1924, Dunwoody has always been a community where excellent healthcare is a priority. We expanded our assisted living accommodations to meet the growing needs of seniors who require daily assistance. Dunwoody’s assisted living provides a safe warm environment that meets the needs of individuals who require moderate to extensive support. Our early to late stage dementia wing provides a staffing ratio of one care giver to 6 or 7 residents; with a nurse on site 24 hours a day. There are safe garden areas where residents may have access to the out of doors. A therapeutic recreation specialist is on the floor daily for programming and entertainment needs. A specialized plan of care is designed for each resident to ensure that their needs and wishes are taken care of in a manner that ensures dignity and respect.

As part of a larger retirement community, assisted living at Dunwoody provides opportunities for continuing care should the need arise. Immediately adjacent to the assisted living wing are 81 private skilled nursing rooms. A short term or permanent stay can be accommodated if needed.
