Brookdale Leawood State Line is located in a quiet wooded neighborhood on the east side of Leawood, Kansas. Our dedicated Alzheimer's and memory care community offers all of the amenities of home but in a manner that promotes resident safety and accommodates the changing needs of those with memory issues.

Seniors and their families enjoy our inviting environment where there are opportunities to pursue hobbies, develop friendships, and find relaxation. Our campus includes a large country kitchen, library, craft room, a piano, and raised flowerbeds for gardening.

Each resident receives a personalized service plan that is tailored to their abilities and medical needs. Our caring staff is able to assist with many activities of daily living, including medication management, hygiene needs, and chronic disease monitoring. Brookdale Leawood State Line provides certain specialized programs designed to optimize life for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's:

•Morning Mental Workout – Daily late morning mental exercises including discussions, brain stimulating games, and reminiscing.
•Daily Physical Activity – A variety of exercise opportunities including group exercises, walking programs and dancing.
•Daily Life Skills – Individual or group activities that provide a sense of purpose, meaning, and belonging.

Our award-winning dining program offers dementia-friendly menus that include familiar comfort foods such as classic meatloaf, apple pie and sweet potato casserole. Assistance is always provided when needed and independent dining is encouraged with appropriate finger foods and adaptive tableware.

We also provide residents with an excellent selection of activities throughout the day, which includes on-site activities as well as trips into the local community. Our activities are well suited for seniors with memory loss.
