At Blue Sky Manor (a part of A Paradise for Parents Assisted Living & Memory Care), we consider our residents to be part of our family. With a maximum of only 10 residents in a residential home setting, we really get a chance to know and understand each resident's needs and desires.

When your loved one stays with us, we provide lots of love and attention. And we want to have their family come and visit as often as possible. Family is so important to elderly people, and we notice that often our resident's health improves as their happiness improves.

That's why we don't have visiting hours. We believe in the golden rule (treat others as you would want their families to treat your Mom or Dad).

Nearly all our meals are home-cooked by one of the caregivers that are in the home 24/7. Occasionally we will order out, especially for special requests like birthdays, but otherwise we don't really serve pre-packaged food.

Most of our staff have been with us for over 10 years. Our manager Paul has been running the home for 18 years and has over 20 years experience working with the elderly. At least two (many times three) of these caregivers will be with the residents from about the time they wake up until the time they go to bed at anywhere from 7-9pm.

We have one caregiver that stays with the residents throughout the nights and checks on them every 2 hours. In addition each resident can wear a call button to let the caregiver know they need help.

We've won several awards from A Place for Mom and Senior Living organizations and recently had a perfect score on our state inspection.
