Our exceptional staff is comprised of the owner, who has more than 14 years of geriatric care experience, and CNAs who are trained and certified in mental health, dementia, and Alzheimer’s care. As soon as you walk through the door, you are greeted by a welcoming space. Situated on a large corner lot, plenty of sunlight streams throughout the generous common spaces and private rooms. The open concept promotes a sense of family and comradery. The family room is well-appointed with large seating areas and tall ceilings, adjacent to the dining room. Wide, French doors lead our residents and visitors to the entertainment deck. A large media room located in the middle of the home, is a wonderful place for activities, conversation or watching a favorite movie. The rustic design envelops residents and visitors, making everyone feel at ease. Floor-to-ceiling windows provide plenty of natural light for our residents throughout the day.

The fenced backyard features an organic garden, providing another source of fresh, healthy food for our residents. Lush flowers and seating promote easy, comfortable living. The area also provides accommodations for barbecues, dining al fresco, and celebrating special occasions and holidays.

All the meals we serve are home-made. We offer three delicious meals daily and snacks in between meals, too. We customize meals to meet the physicians’ prescribed dietary requirements whether for individuals with diabetic or cardiac issues, or other health-related concerns. Special food preparation and ingredients are available for our residents seeking Kosher, vegetarian, or other options.

Living Options and Amenities

Our residents enjoy large private rooms. Every room is wheelchair accessible, is ADA compliant, and is located on the ground floor. We offer free television, cable, and Wi-Fi services. A private room to host families or conduct group activities is located on the east wing of the home.

To enhance our residents’ care and safety, our home is integrated with smart technology, including a Smart Pager system with bed alarms, motion sensors, door alarms, and wheelchair alarms.

Of course, there is an array of coffee shops and drive-through restaurants available, too.

We coordinate doctor visits and appointments, as well as make transportation arrangements for our residents. Access Transportation or other services such as Link are among the primary transportation resources for our residents.

At this home we have an open-door policy: family and friends are encouraged to visit their loved ones whenever they are available (per government guidelines).

4. Asking for help

People of all ages want to feel needed. In our home, we do our best to make residents feel more wanted and less of a burden. We ask for help with simple tasks they can handle, such as folding laundry, organizing drawers, opening the mail, writing a grocery list, clipping coupons, prepping meals, as examples.
