Best Online Black Friday Deals
I admit it. There are some deals that you just cannot get without physically walking into the door during the Black Friday shopping weekend. But, if you are patient enough and online-savvy enough, there are a number of deals that do not require you to step outside at all. And there are some online deals that are even better than actually going into the store.
The trick to scoring online Black Friday Deals is timing.
I used to think that I was missing out by not going into the stores at the crack of dawn to get my steal deals.
But with sluggish retail sales and growing online customer demand, your favorite brands and stores are increasingly coming to your home where you can shop in your warm pajamas and not have to brave the crowds.
Here’s how to strategize your online Black Friday deals:
1. Collect Black Friday print ads.
There are going to be a lot of great deals out there. I personally like having the actual ads in front of me. They help me prioritize which stores I need to “click” into first and what price point I can expect to pay. It also helps me compare between stores.
2. Create a list of the items you need from the Black Friday ads and note down the price point.
Some Black Friday deals will rotate back in at another time in the next few weeks. If you miss a Black Friday deal, there’s always another follow up deal that may be even better. Last year I thought I missed out on getting a flat pancake grill for $25.00 (normally $60) but two days later I saw the same grill for $19.99 and I didn’t even have to use a mail-in rebate or coupon code!
3. If you do see a great deal online, GET IT!
This seems counter-intuitive to what I just wrote above but it’s not. A good deal is a good deal. Don’t wait for an even better deal to show up. They do have limited quantities of items and if it’s something that you’ve been waiting for, don’t hesitate to get it right away.
4. Check out the online websites before Friday to see if any sneaky deals have popped up.
For example, JC Penny is currently running a great coupon giveaway online and in-store during Thanksgiving and they are already letting their online friends in on the deal. Last year, the same door buster luggage sets that sold in-store for $79.99 were also available online for the same price with no shipping costs!
5. It pays to check out the online websites.
They’ll have their own special “web busters” that aren’t available in stores. Macy’s and Wal-Mart are especially famous for these web busters. You can also check out online coupons sites like RetailMeNot to score the very best Black Friday deals.
6. Sign up for email promotions ahead of time.
My mom is a big fan of online coupons. By providing an online email address to her favorite stores, she automatically receives coupons for $10 off of $25 and special 15-25% off coupons without having to clip anything from a print ad or search for a specific ad.
